“Machinery for Peace”: FederUnacoma at Divinazione Expo 24

Ortigia-Siracusa, September 21/29, 2024

FederUnacoma is a participant at Divinazione Expo 24 – “a showcase of the Italian agri-food system to the world” – an event organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests held from 21 to 29 September 2024 in Ortigia-Siracusa, as part of the G7 Agriculture Meeting.

The Federation is proud to present its project “Machinery for Peace” as a way to demonstrate the social value of agriculture and the fundamental contribution that agricultural mechanics can make to agricultural and rural policies in different regions of the world.

Multiple exhibition areas will be set in various pictuesque locations in Ortigia and recreate work sites (citrus groves, olive groves, vineyards, grain and horticulture fields) in order to showcase the most innovative technological solutions designed by Italian agricultural machinery manufacturers for the various crops.

AREA 01 | Harbor Master's Office

Three thematic islands dedicated to machinery and equipment for open-field cereal cultivation (combine harvesters, high-powered tractors, round balers, seed drills, etc.) and horticultural crops. A space has been set up for the latter that simulates a construction site, from preparing the ground to planting the seedlings using specialized machines;

AREA 02 | Via Minerva

A citrus grove and rows of vineyards are the setting to exhibit the latest technologies used in orchards and vineyards, including robots and other autonomous vehicles, as well as sensors, management software and other digital equipment for agriculture.
